Thanksgiving

We are leaving for Seattle on Saturday to start our Thanksgiving celebrations! I love Thanksgiving, because it’s a holiday that doesn’t require presents, being creative with a costume, or having super fun and totally cool plans. Don’t get me wrong, I love all holidays for just those reasons. But Thanksgiving is a holiday that, to me, has always celebrated family, food and being thankful and I really love that.

That said, the Teddy’s love Thanksgiving and do have a tradition in dressing up in their nicest clothes to eat a very large dinner, including 2 different turkeys and over 10 different sides, with plenty of fancy decorations. And since it’s a weeklong celebration (for at least Micah and I), we will also be enjoying some of Bellevue’s finest shopping, trekking through the woods on mini hikes, visiting Seattle’s attractions, eating at my favorite restaurants, watching movies and laughing. Lots of laughing, I mean, we will be with the Teddys…

Hope you all have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Season!!

Lindsey and Brian Walker

What a WONDERFUL week it was! I got to meet Brian for the first time (I approve, he is a great guy with such a nice family), I saw Lindsey and Brian get married (my, what a beautiful bride!!), I got to see so many of my high school friends that I haven't seen in years (it was so nice to see all of them and hear what they have been up to - and they all look great!), I got to spend time with the bride and her family (its like spending time with my 2nd family), I was able to see beautiful fall foliage, I got the most amazing pictures taken of me and Micah, check them out here (her pictures will blow your mind).. and... I got to spend a lot of time with these girls:

Oh my, it was perfect.

Check Me Out

No, really.. check me out! In honor of the BIG EVENT of 2009, I have been searching for the perfect dress to wear. The criteria? Little. Black. Dress. Now I realize not all my dresses below may be black black, but .. maybe I will need to wear a dress to something else sometime..?

OK, one more preface before I post the pictures. Please ignore the goofy faces. I felt like a nerd for taking pictures of myself in multiple dresses just for the sake of blogging about it. But, I post this anyway.

Pictures:

(the first is Kindsay's, Heather's and Robin's favorite, and, its actually black)

Some more...

OK, those are the first round of choices, let me know what you think!! Also, if you hate them all, tell me, cause I can't go ugly to the biggest party of the year.. THAT would be embarrassing!

The One About the WENUS

"I just don't want to be one of those guys [or girls] that's in his office until twelve o'clock at night worrying about the WENUS"

Yeah.. you all remember when Chandler said that on Friends. Well, I feel a little like that today. I mean, I have endless reports I am in charge of updating at work, and I am not particularly obsessed with any one of them.. But then today I could not get a new database at work to do anything right and I threw a bit of a tizzy. Then I started thinking, when did I turn into one of those people that worry about their horribly named work reports?? What happened to ME? And when did I turn in to this nerd???

Anyway, I am looking forward to recovering tonight while watching the Office, and while I type this I worry that watching this show indulges my inner-nerd and maybe I should curb my love for this show.. Hold back on the nerdiness a little.. Yeah.. Probably not.

PS - I will not apologize for not blogging, nor will I promise to blog more in the future. But I may have more coming.
